Dear Friends,

Please be aware that we will be celebrating the Tree of Hope light up on Thursday, November
25th, at 5:15pm.

The current restrictions have temporarily changed the way we can gather. However, last year,
thousands of people in our community took part in the light up in the safest way possible, from
the comfort of their own home. We will, again this year, stream the light up via Castanet. Please
visit www.castanet.net home page and click on the Tree of Hope banner to view the lighting and
learn more about the details of our two recipient charities for 2021.

This year, many of us have once again scaled down our traditional holiday parties and
celebrations. Although this is unfortunate, I believe this opens opportunity for us to come
together as a community to do some good.

In partnership with the Landmark District, TD Canada Trust, and the Stober Foundation,
RAISING HOPE 2021 seeks to highlight, address, and elevate the conversation of “WOMEN AT
RISK’.

Together, the work of Karis Support Society and NOW Canada are focused on supporting
women at risk by helping transition them from a life of addiction, abuse, exploitation, and mental
health challenges to a life of long-term recovery and self-efficiency.
This year highlights the importance of supporting local. It has been a few challenging years for
many in our community, and we saw more vulnerable women, youth and children needing these
programs more now than ever before. Thanks to the Tree of Hope, the impact of every dollar
donated will be doubled up to $100,000. If you are planning to give this year, I ask that you
please give consider the Tree of Hope. The donations received through this campaign will
become an invaluable investment for vulnerable women and children in our community.

Together, we can do so much more than we could ever do alone. I sincerely believe that we can
come together and create an opportunity out of these unfortunate circumstances, ending 2021
in a truly beautiful way and raising hope for so many.

Thank-you with gratitude, from my family to yours as you consider bringing hope into our
community.

Respectfully,
Ken Stober
